Mustang origins

The Moonlit Mustangs, founded by Tatiana McPhee and Jaedra Burgess, are an original song writing group from the outskirts of Sacramento in northern California. Starting out as a duo, but quickly adding fellow like minded musicians to the band, their music is from the heart and cuts to the bone.

Tatiana McPhee- Musician originating from the bay area has been in several bands over the years including Tatiana and The Wayward Coyotes where she fronted the band. Writing songs from the heart and life's experiences, Tatiana has never shied away from laying it all out on the table, wearing her heart on her sleeve and telling it like it is. To the Moonlit Mustangs she brings her gritty, soulful attitude. Writing brand new songs steeped in her love for many genres of music including classic country, americana, rockabilly, rock'n'roll, punk, do-wop, rhythm and blues. You may even hear a touch of Irish folk in her style of writing.

Jaedra Burgess- With a lifelong passion for songwriting and story telling, adds an angelic tone with heartbreaking lyrics to the mix. Growing up in Aromas Ca, Jaedra packs a punch to the heart with songs about growing up and living life with all the joy and pain that comes with it.

Influenced by so many artists, some of them being; Hank Williams Sr, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Dwight Yoakam, Wanda Jackson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Linda Ronstadt, The Clancy Brothers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Social Distortion, Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, the beautiful and soul filled harmonies from the great girl groups of the 60's and 70's the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas to name a few, the list goes on...

Together with fellow band mates- Bob Dickson JR.  on bass and Mike Bacon Jr. on the drums, Moonlit mustangs are a force to be reckoned with, with their haunting harmonies and masterful melodies. They'll make you smile, make you cry but most of all they'll make you feel the music.

So grab a drink, take a listen and don't forget to come on out and catch a show!
